So I recently started taking an online course CREATE A SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING CAMPAIGN on a platform called futurelearn. its a online education course platform with a range of different topics, on different subjects of learning, anyway more detail in the video!
So today I got work with The Federation Instead of Digital Advantage. I got to work with Katie Wood for The Federation. I got to do a range of tasks. Including scheduling twitter posts for The federation twitter account using a software called sprinklr which allows the user to schedule social media posts with ease. So after I have finished doing some social media I was shown how the Federation run setting up events and bookings. I also got to make them A one page website because they didn’t really like the current setup of the newsletter which is what I created the website for so people could easily sign up to their newsletter. I also got to go downstairs where Ezra was delivering a Digital Blast training so I took some photos ready to publish to my blog. Along with that I met Seamus for another chat about the GM autism amongst many other things. He introduced me to a talented young woman Niamh Who is on work experience for one week with Seamus. She is also set up her own blog which she is looking to publish in the near future I tried to help them fix a problem they had with the blogging software. As well as tweet an Infographic to the GM autism Twitter account with the help of Niamh. Thank you everyone for Reading this blog post the video version is below there’s plenty more projects coming in the future for me so make sure you subscribe to the blog.
I’ve got to do a range of tasks in week 11.I really truly enjoyed myself as I do every week tasks keep increasing which is keeping me busy. Some of the tasks I got up to include, working with Seamus posting tweets I was posting some tweets for Seamus again this Time tweeting out video footage of the first interview for GM autism consortium.Checking my blog with Rav i’ll check in my blog with Rav to make sure it’s okay to publish we were checking my video from week 10 to see if it had improved from the previous week. I also was able to take some photos of St Thomas wenerh (school) you came in for some Digital Blast training. I was lucky enough to interview one of students. If you prefer to watch then the video version is below.
As you know I get up to lots of things at Digital Advantage. Week 10 was no exception I did a range of tasks they kept me busy which I really enjoyed. Some of these tasks include:
- I’ve started taking a course online about social media campaigns and how to use them effectively. I’ve already learnt a lot from that course things like demographics and the types of platforms you can use for social media.
- I started tweeting for the GM Autism Consortium some statistics about employment with a disability and autism.
- I wanted to improve my video editing skills and my grammar so I talked to Rav is and we worked out a plan – I’m going to do that. Please check out the video below…
Week seven was really interesting I did lots of things from take photos of a school that came in Cavendish primary school. I had a talk with Seamus from send code where i had to redesign the logo for GMaustimconsortam. I also had a meeting with Ruby I really enjoyed week seven I got a lot out of it. if you would like to subscribe to my blog there is a link below. also if you’d like the video version where I go more in detail about my week just below here.

Thank you to everyone that has made a donation to my go fund me page I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s helped me so much by putting me on the path to setting up my own business.
I would like to break down the marketing strategy we used in order to get the donations we needed within one month. Here are the main things that we found that helped the campaign.
Coming up with a great title – we used a play on words, so instead of using back me up we used my name and called the campaign Beck me up which was the first step to setting up a successful go fund me campaign.
Another important thing is to come up with a great pitch video, keep it short but make sure you get all your points across. Also as a bonus tip to help your campaign you could include bonuses- gifts for your donors.
Once you set up your campaign, in general, it’s time to start getting some traffic so what i did was told some of my closest friends to get the word out that’s the easiest way to start any kind of marketing campaign.
Word-of-mouth is probably the most powerful thing ever in marketing and we use it all the time in business. So from just sending the link to my closest friends and then getting them to share it I was able to gather around £200 in just one day.
So to sum it up we came up with a compelling title. we wrote a great description then we made a pitch video. then we simply just spread it to our closest friends and got them to share all over social media.
Then the rest was history – we were able to gather the donations and now I have all the equipment I need to start my digital marketing journey.
